Posting & Content

To post a question on Novio Plus, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click the "Ask Question" button at the top of any page
  2. Enter a clear, descriptive title for your question
  3. Provide detailed information in the description box
  4. Select relevant categories and tags to help others find your question
  5. Review our community guidelines before posting
  6. Click "Post Question" to share with the community

Note: All questions go through our content moderation system to ensure they meet community standards.

Choosing the right categories and tags helps your question reach the right audience:

  • Categories: Select the main topic area (e.g., Programming, Design, Business)
  • Tags: Add specific keywords (e.g., react, typescript, startup, ui-design)
  • Use existing tags when possible rather than creating new ones
  • Add 3-5 relevant tags for better discoverability
  • Make tags descriptive but concise

Yes! Novio Plus supports multimedia content:

  • Images: Upload relevant images directly through the "Upload Image" button
  • YouTube Videos: Add YouTube links - they'll automatically embed
  • Polls: Create polls with up to 4 choices by toggling the poll option
  • GIFs: GIF links from supported platforms embed automatically

Strike System & Moderation

Novio Plus has a 3-strike moderation system to maintain community standards:

  • Strike 1: Warning for minor violations
  • Strike 2: Temporary posting restrictions (24-48 hours)
  • Strike 3: Automatic account suspension for 7 days
  • Strike 4+: Permanent account ban

Strikes are applied based on content severity. Common violations include spam, harassment, and policy violations. Strikes reset after 30 days of good behavior.

Violations are categorized by severity:

  • Low Severity: Minor policy violations (warning only, 0 strikes)
  • Medium Severity: Moderate violations (1 strike)
  • High Severity: Serious violations including hate speech (2 strikes)
  • Critical Severity: Extreme violations may result in immediate ban

The system considers content, user history, and community impact when assigning strikes.

If you believe a strike was applied in error:

  1. Review our Community Guidelines
  2. Visit our Contact Us page
  3. Select "Appeal moderation decision"
  4. Provide relevant details including question ID, timestamp, and why you believe it was a mistake
  5. Our moderation team will review within 48 hours

Appeals are reviewed manually by our moderation team. Please be patient and respectful.

Account Management

To delete or deactivate your account:

  1. Go to your Settings page
  2. Navigate to "Account Settings" section
  3. Click "Delete Account"
  4. Choose between deactivation (temporary) or permanent deletion
  5. Confirm your decision by entering your password

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Your content may be anonymized rather than deleted, unless you specifically request full deletion.

Control your privacy preferences:

  • Profile Visibility: Make your profile public or semi-private
  • Question Visibility: Control who can see your questions
  • DM Settings: Choose who can send you direct messages
  • Data Export: Request a copy of your data via Settings page
  • Notification Preferences: Customize email and push notifications

All settings can be adjusted in your Settings dashboard.

If you forget your password:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password" below the login form
  3. Enter the email associated with your account
  4. Check your email for a password reset link
  5. Click the link and create a new password
  6. Log in with your new credentials

For OAuth users (Google, GitHub), simply sign in with your provider - no password needed.

Community & Support

To report content or users:

  • Questions/Answers: Click the "..." menu → "Report"
  • Users: Visit their profile → click "Report User"
  • Direct Messages: Click "..." in chat → "Report Message"
  • Immediate Danger: Contact us immediately via the Contact Us page

All reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We prioritize reports involving harassment, threats, or illegal content.

Novio Plus is completely free for basic use:

  • Free Tier: Unlimited questions, answers, and community access
  • Premium Features: Advanced analytics, ad-free browsing, and priority support (future)
  • No Hidden Fees: We're transparent about any upcoming premium features
  • Monetization: Currently ad-supported with respect for user experience

We're committed to keeping core Q&A functionality free forever. Premium features will always be optional.
